Abbeyleix Bog wins Notice Nature Biodiversity Award in 2010 Tidy Towns Competition

The Abbeyleix Tidy Towns Group continued a strong run in the National Tidy Towns Competition with another bronze medal award. Abbeyleix Bog was specifically acknowledged and won the Notice Nature Bio-Diverstity Award in the Midlands East Region,

The TidyTowns Biodiversity ‘Notice Nature’ Award is a special competition sponsored by The National Parks and Wildlife Service as part of their Notice Nature campaign to reward communities who have undertaken initiatives to protect the biodiversity in their local environment.
